CHRISTMAS DAY!
“Jingle bells…Jingle bells…Jingle all the
way…” Christmas carols fill the air. People having Christmas parties
everywhere. Exchanging gifts here and there. These are the usual happenings
before Christmas Eve, the night when our savior Jesus Christ was born.
A week before Christmas Eve, people
usually help each other put up their Christmas trees, decorating their doors
and windows with the different colors of Christmas lights. Putting socks to
their windows believing that Santa Claus will put his gifts there for the
children, wrapping gifts for each of the family member and putting it under the
Christmas tree.
After preparing part, the most awaited
time of the year is the Christmas Eve. What we always see during this time are
families sharing laughter with each other, counting down and celebrating
Christmas together and praying to thank God for all the blessings they had this
year.
But we should always remember that
Christmas isn’t about the material things that we received. It is about
remembering the love and sacrifice of our savior Jesus Christ who offered his
life to save us all from our sins.
